Adobe seriously need to overhaul the 3D viewport in After Effects. It's so shite. And the way it's handling the zooming and viewing of it. The navigation is so crappy, just frustration.
It has been the same pretty much since the 90's?
They really need to make it like other pro compositors like Nuke or Flame.
Any being able to import 3D objects as well and some basic 3D options. They could incorporate their new 3D tech and make it compatible with the "Substance 3D"-apps.
AE hasn't really gotten any substantial big stuff in the past 10-20 years it's really time they overhaul this.
- make one point camera. make null. turn on '3d' for null. parent cam to null. animate the null position/rotation. don't use camera tools.shapesalad

- Blender isn't an alternative to After Effects but I avoid After Effects 3D like the plague. There's nothing like a dedicated program for 3D.CyBrainX
- There's a reason AE comes with C4D "Lite".evilpeacock
- Who uses "C4D Lite"? I also don't wanna use a real external 3D program for comping stuff in 3D.NBQ00
- I can't think of another program that doesn't have smooth zooming. It's been about 35 years. Can we have that some time before we retire?CyBrainX
