So the worlds biggest problems are coming from two sources: China and Russia. Both communist countries.

Communism in a just a leadership protocol. Clearly not working. Sounds good when you hear the sales pitch for it, and some great poster design has come out of it... but maybe time to stop it entirely?

Vietnam seems to be ok with it. So what do I know.

    • He did say "communism in a just a leadership protocol"... i.e., Russia abandoned Marxism but the KGB is still in control.yuekit
    • But how different is it from any authoritarian country? Russia and China are in the news but in Myanmar military government seized power, in Africa there haveyuekit
    • been a number of anti-democratic coups, in Ethiopia half a million people died in a civil war and most people in the West barely noticed this.yuekit
    • Marxism was terrible but I think authoritarianism increased in power recently for totally different reasons. Authoritarian rulers were able toyuekit
    • capitalize on their status to become billionaires, giving them greater impunity. Technology made it easier to control people, police are more militarized...yuekit
    • How the fuck does anyone think Russia is remotely communist in this day and age. Fully reverted to the oligarchical nightmare like it was before the revolution.kingsteven
