Here, of course, I read books that I could not find in Poland, incl. private memoirs of Germans who were swept by the avalanche of the Red Army in 1945 when Hitler was defeated, mainly diaries from Pomerania (Pommern). Among them were the notes of one doctor, a count, a man of faith who survived this hell and saw everything that the Russians are capable of, formed by that ugly system. And these memoirs helped me to formulate my own thoughts and judgments, which I haven't yet put on paper. Although I didn't see anything of what he saw.The cruelty of the Germans who entered the occupied countries in Hitler's time, neither in depth nor in breadth, can not be compared with the Soviet cruelty. For the Germans the clichés go first - they were methodical, planned, and it was precisely mechanically and impersonally that they followed the commandments, according to which they considered themselves the superior race, and we Jews were called "Ungeziefer", parasitic pests that needed to be exterminated, pest so cunning, gifted with such chutzpah that in their rogue mimicry they acquired a resemblance to Man.
The Russians, on the other hand, aware of their own inadequacy and inferiority realized it in a wordless, deaf way, deluding to all debauchery; raping 80-year-old women, casually murdering, destructing all signs of prosperity, order and civilized wealth. By this they took revenge not only on the Germans for what the Germans did in Russia, but also on the whole world outside of their prison, the most vile revenge possible: they defecated on everything - no animals demonstrate a similar, so to speak, EXCREMENTAL cruelty that the Russians demonstrated, filling to the brim ruined salons with their excrement, hospital rooms, bidets, cupboards, shitting on books, carpets, altars.
