I don’t support these trucker bros at all. The idea that we can “declare the pandemic over” is so juvenile that it’s funny.

But if the argument is “should the government enforce laws requiring vaccines?” then I’m thinking like, hey we’re almost two years (btw we haven’t solved anything as far as I can tell) into this and people can get the vaccine and boosters for “free” and we’re way past any chance of “ending Covid”

Sooooo maybe we let it go? We can’t go on forever pretending that vaccinating the remaining 12% of eligible Canadians is going to be a magic pill.

I don’t like the idea of government forcing any meds on people, just on principle. Dangerous precedent. I also don’t like the idea of limiting public health care only to people who follow govt orders. Again, just on principle.

Let these goofy truckers go back to work. Donate their doses to people in poor countries that don’t have access to them yet.

    • It's impossible to continually vaccinate the whole world every 6 months. Plus it's probably dangerous.Chimp
    • Vaccinations aren't more dangerous than Covid. Why not try to fight this shitty pandemic? Darwin has a place for you if you want to wave a white flag.CyBrainX
    • If you've already had covid, it's more dangerous to take the vaccine as it offers you no more protection. But carry on shouting antivax at anyone who disagrees.Chimp
    • For sure all the lockdown have hurt more people than the pandemic. Who trust pfizer? Most sued company in the world. Who trusts the government?Raybandana
    • More people die of suicide in Spain under 50 than covid. This says it all really.Chimp
    • truckers are 90% vaxed, its about the mandate not the vax. Do you like being forced by your government to do things, that dont make sense?Raybandana
    • You're all dancing around the fact that your anti-vax and pro disease.CyBrainX
    • I hate government as much as the next person but I'm in favor of some laws - the ones that protect us from people who endanger us. You know who that is.CyBrainX
    • honestly its just about the mandate. Its not about the vax. For real. Im vaxed the truckers are vaxed. No mandates please, it doesnt make sense anymore.Raybandana
    • There is nothing but love and unity in ottawa right now, the media is spinning it so badly, its so sad. Ive never seen Canadians stand up like this. EVER.Raybandana
    • I’m continually shocked at how willing a segment of soceity is okay with or actively supporting forcing people into a medical interventionRaybandana
    • According to CyBrainX if you're not a complete bootlicker, you're an anti-vaxxer.Milan
    • Let’s end all vaccine mandates!
      Bring back polio
      Bring back measles
      Bring back small pox!!!
      Freeeeedom!!!!

    • Those vaccines have exemptions. So many cases were people provide exemptions but still being forced.Raybandana
    • The lockdowns are mandates hurting and killing way more people. We will feel the effects for years to come.Raybandana
    • @raybandana you’re speaking for the so-called truckers and not the citizens of Ottawa. This isn’t peace and love and it isn’t a protest.colab
    • As if anyone is forcing medically exempt people to risk their health with vaccines. And who is being killed by lockdowns and mandates?CyBrainX
    • Yea i know the residents arent having a good time, but what do you do, keep quiet and let the gov walk all over you? Rules are changing now, the honking workedRaybandana
