    My family is taking a trip to visit the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Vegas, LA, etc in April. We're only staying one night in Vegas but I don't want to stay on the strip, Does anyone know of any half-decent areas 15-20 minutes outside of the strip where we could get a hotel for the night? Or at least any slightly more family friendly areas to look at? thanks in advance

    • Summerlin is close to Red Rock.
      Henderson is close to the Dam, and if you want to ditch LV all together check out Boulder City - 15 min due east of the strip.      dasohr
