Last Sunday I walked into a funeral home to attend a wake for my oldest and dearest friend's mother-in-law. He texted me the details and I told him I'd see him there.
I head up to the funeral home about 30 minutes away, take a few deep breaths in the car as I generally don't like funeral homes, and walk in. The service is in progress and a woman is sharing a story to a pretty small group of people. I inconspicuously walk into the back of the room and start to look around and realize that I don't know anybody. I look at the open casket and confirm that I am in fact, in the wrong room. I've been in the room for all of about 30 seconds and walk out to see the owner so I ask if there's another service happening. "No, who are you here for?" he says. I tell him and he checks his schedule where he tells me that her service will be THIS Sunday. My bad.

    • oh no, I once spent at least 15 minutes in the wrong cremation ceremony, getting emotional at the service and then realised I didn't recognise anyone there.fadein11
    • I was 10 minutes early, got outside and everyone was waiting for the one I should have been in.fadein11
    • BoJack did the same thing.sarahfailin
