Hey Peeps - my 7 year old son is asking for a "dj turntables" from Santa this year. I've dug around and the ones I've come across all require you to plug into a laptop which is sort of too advanced for what we want for him. Do any of you know of a dj unit that is a standalone unit that would be appropriate for kids? Thanks as usual in advance for any help!

    • theres a game in the Oculus quest 2 that you might want to check out https://www.youtube.…GuyFawkes
    • if I were to start, I would go that route firstGuyFawkes
    • Surprise him with a Cello and copy of Cello Sonatas, Volume One.shapesalad
    • i'm not sure there are any standalone systems that are cheaper than a controller + a laptop. there was a great unit called a pacemaker about a decade ago but itkingsteven
    • didn't catch on, now it seems it's all about the software.kingsteven
    • Get something pro level anyway.. he's 7, in approx 3 months anything you get will be collecting dust. If it's pro level, you can take it up.shapesalad

    • Lots of lower end ones will plugin to an ios device, even a phone. that may be best option at this stage. Numark do a good basic controller ive heard goodfadein11
