    So apparently my partner needs to login to a government website and generate a code that proves she has a right to work here, to give to employers. The code lasts for 30 days and has to be done every time she starts a new contract, which given the nature of her work means she'll have to do this quite a few times a year.

    What a way to make 'em feel welcomed.
