Non-religious population in Germany, commies paving the way for what is possible.
Mankind defeated cholera and covid, mankind will defeat religion

    Debate

    • Humans have evolved the need for religious/spiritual experience. In it's absence something or someone invariably takes its place. Communists replaced the holy..Morning_star

    • I'm not 100% sure how the commies did it, but I don't think anyone really worshipped the communist partydrgs
    • I don't believe humans "evolved" a need for religion or spirituality as much as a need for a shared experience with their kin. Sports is like that.monospaced
    • For me, specifically, I get my full dose of spirituality from the awe and wonder of the natural world and the deep understanding that I am a natural part of it.monospaced
    • No supernatural aspect required for full spiritual experience and fulfillment.monospaced

    • There you go again Mono 'believing' ;) However, it is scientific fact.Morning_star
    • I’m not so sure I’ve said anything that is a mere belief. Just an opinion like yours, and my own perspective.monospaced
    • Some science may point to the idea that we evolved for a spiritual need, but that is an interpretation of what is a fact. We want connections and meaningmonospaced
    • Religions provide human connection and some “meaning” to life. So does communism or sports fandom. And so does straight up nature for some.monospaced
    • We seem to agree they are filling the same gap. I’m simply saying it isn’t a need for the supernatural type.monospaced
    • Agreed.Morning_star
