My classic wired apple keyboard didn't survive having a glass of Nepalese Golden Tips Black tea knocked over it:

So while awaiting for a used replacement on off eBay, I picked up this crap for £9.99 from a high street shop:

And... it's actually good. Cheap plastic, slightly wonky keys due to cheap manufacturing, collects dust instantly... but nice key travel distance and typing sound. Only thing stopping me from using it forever is the lack of media keys and reluctance to install a key mapper on a mac that I use for crypto trading.

    • Invest in a cheap mechanical, even. Once you go mechanical you never go back.palimpsest
    • how do you set up media keys, vol changing keys? Is there a trustable pref/remapper?shapesalad
    • Most of them already have media keys, you don't have to go 60%. And you can always remap your keys.
Your hands will thank you, trust me.

    • Here's a good beginner keyboard with media keys:

    • This one is amazing. https://www.logitech…islandbridge
    • After your first mechanical you would want to support mechanical specific brands though. Not that Logitech is bad. I just don't think that's a good entry point.palimpsest
    • Or an entry point follow up.palimpsest
    • Did you try switching to another brand of tea?CyBrainX
