Super chuffed about a new paint mixture i’m using that has a base of rubber cement (glad i kept that half gallon from school) with naptha to thin it out for airbrushing, and pigment from oil paints. It dries quickly and stretches with latex instead of cracking like acrylics.

Naptha’s been banned for sale in california though, and the stuff i had on hand was used previously for extracting DMT. It’s just saturated with the stuff. So now my work will be durable, but intensely psychedelic if you ever tried to smoke it and didn’t die from inhaling burning latex first

    • Also, i’m essentially aerosolizing lighter fluid so my whole workshop could blow up at any minute. Makes things more excitingscarabin

    • Maybe search it out under the name "white gas" used in camp stoves, lanterns. See if REI will ship it to you. https://www.rei.com/…monNom
    • Don't oils attack latex?

Also, that sounds like a great way to get brain damage.

    • I thought that too so have been using a non-pigmented base coat before applying the stuff containing oil paint just in case.

      Thanks for the sourcing tip!
