My wife and I watched a 60 minutes episode last night about the problem with Xanax in America, and when they were speaking with this one guy, they described him as “the 29 year old, whose golf shirt does not reveal any tattoos...”

I am completely baffled as to why they would say that. Not once in the rest of the episode did they ever talk to this guy about tattoos, or his clothing or anything like that. it’s honestly one of the most bizarre things I have seen on TV and as long as I can remember, and I honestly want to contact someone at 60 minutes to ask what they meant by that.
It’s so weird.
- Weird. Maybe there was more context in a longer cut but it was edited out?********
- That is what my wife and I keep thinking, but it still seems so strange of a thing to include.mg33
- must be be contagious, the Theranos segment in the ozzie edition had some weird editing too.********
- This is how doctors in America make their money to buy spare homes...they subscribe drugs! The kick-backs that they receive from Big Pharma is amazing!utopian

- It’s a way to create a paradox profile. Clean cut, conformist, middle class, no a rebel..etc etc. Somone you wouldn’t associate with drugshotroddy
- wearing a golf shirt and not a wife beater, etchotroddy
- Ah! That makes sense. Perhaps the producer originally wrote “has no tattoos” and then a fact checker asked how they can be sure.********
- Usually you might say “has no visible tattoos” but even that isn’t accurate, exactly********
- It's also pandering to the moral panic for older folks. 60 Minutes main demo is in the 40s or 50s IIRC, and people who would correlate drugs with tattoos.garbage

- Lol. And I figured it meant he was totally covered in tattoos but they don’t show.monospaced
- See??? It’s an incredible riddle.mg33
- hmm I took away the opposite - that they were painting him as a bad boy presenting himself as squeaky cleanProjectile
- Weird. Maybe there was more context in a longer cut but it was edited out?
