I'm not sure if I've mentioned my other dog, Molly. She can't handle the slightest amount of heat (cough cough bulldogs can't exist without our constant care because they are horribly inbred).
The plan was to leave her with a dogsitter while Leo, the gf and I hit the road for a week or so, meet up with some friends at Zion NP, maybe Death Valley on the way back, bought tickets for Omega Mart Vegas, etc.
Then this fucking heatwave looms, and we decided the guy's apt was going to be worryingly hot, so we cancelled on him and I backed out of the trip because Molly is already a handful without having to worry about her dying in the heat.
Yesterday was the hottest day on record in Seattle at 104. I have a thermometer in the window where I grow plants, and yesterday it registered a high of 124. Outdoor highs for today are projected for 110. So I dropped the gf off at the airport this morning, and it looks like the plan for the day is cold showers for all.
What I'm saying is expect bored posts because I blocked off a week and now it's just me and my wolfpack.
