So my offices have been shut for a year. We go back in June but to smaller offices and I can now work from home 3 days and in the office for 2.

I need to get a new machine to replace this old 2013 27" iMac regardless. But now I will need to take a machine with me from Tues - Thurs and bring home the other days. My original plan was the new iMac when it arrives but that is maybe too much hassle to put in the car? So, I'm not sure what option to take. Which of these would you do?

    A. 16" Macbook + 25" screen there + 25" screen here = £3.9k
    B. Mini M1 + 38" screen there and 38" screen here = £3.4k
    C. iMac + 25" screen there and 25" screen here = £3.4k

This will be in June so hopefully the iMac and Laptop options will be M1's too. Anyone else have any experience of this sort of setup?

    • If you have to take it, laptop only makes sense. I have a last gen intel mini, but I wouldn't want to haul it around.section_014
    • ^ yes. Supposedly a new Apple keynote is around the corner with new products. Might be worth waiting a bit before you buy.spl33nidoru

    • I’ve been remote/office for many years with various 15” MBPs. Still am. Have a 27” 4K display at each location with a usb c cable. That’s all I need.monospaced
