Found my old PSP, an original 1001 model i never used because i was in school and couldn’t afford games. Hacked it and installed 50+ PSP and PSX titles. Then it bricks mid-game. No power, nothin’. FUCK.
I spent HOURS today learning how to make a “magic memory stick” and “pandora battery” in order to unbrick the thing before i plugged it in and found it just needed a charge. Man i overcomplicate things sometimes.
Anyway, now i have an entire console’s library to explore. WOOHOO!
- i have one of those. teach me.imbecile
- There’s a good guide here https://www.reddit.c… you need to update to 6.60 firmware, then install custom firmware for w/ever model PSP you havescarabin
- Then rip or DL .ISOs of games and drop them in PSP/GAMEscarabin
- You can get games here https://vimm.net/vau…scarabin
- sweet, thanks!imbecile
- Sorry, they go in an ISO folder you make in memory stick root. Other tools go in psp/gamescarabin
- I remember walking a similar path towards jail breaking a wii console, but I got drunk and bricked the shit out of it. An actual “Wii-man” fixed it for $100.maquito
- The guy duck-taped a 32gb stick to the back of the console and I can remember his face telling me “do not EVER un-plug this thing!”maquito
- The wii is stored somewhere in the attic with the 32gb still taped to its butt. I think I should tell my son to never remove it...maquito
- Did the same with my 3DS in 2020 and spent all of Covid beating my childhood favorites.noRGB
