    I would need to change the following:

    Crankset: Shimano Alivio, 48/36/26t
    Shifters: Shimano Sora
    Front Derailleur: Shimano Alivio Trekking
    Rear Derailleur: Shimano Alivio Trekking
    Rear Cogs: Shimano HG400-9, 11-34t

    to at least Deore and the Rear Derailleur to Deore XT
    That would cost me $400.
    Plus pedals and Fenders.
    Maybe change the front wheel to have a hub dynamo.
    Hm...

    The Kona Sutra I would only change the front wheel.
    But tes the Salsa is a beauty and def one of the best frames out there.
