    Interesting to see how well McConnell played the super negative situation into one where he has some control.

    Now he can fuck up the first days of the Biden administration by delaying his cabinet appointees with the trial

    He can wait to see what happens over the next week or so, read some polling data to see how hard to come down on trump.

    And he essentially put Trump on a leash.

    Let's see if Schumer can counter any of this...but Schumer will want to court McConnell to get his votes with his razor thin majority of one.

    But now these guys in power, the Senate, especially McConnell will get to decide Trump's future political fate. If Trump cannot run for office again....much of his power is neutered.
