I went there about 10/11 months ago... fecking freezng and grim.
MAke sure you get a decent map... I had a map that had the names in english characters... and trying to decipher a street name was impossible.
Go and see Lenin thats good to see... and always have your passport with you... as there was a policeman who always pulled us up... (our hotel was next to red square) and there are cops all about...
On the sunday I got there I sat in the park near the square and everyone was walking around drinking cans of beer... even couples... and couples with kids... surreal!
