First time I went to a testing centre yesterday.
Our local one isn't a drive through.
Crazy dystopian experience.
Especially as completely empty.
8 connected portacabins with at least 12 testing bays.
I've avoided conspiracy theories throughout this as it's been horrific enough for us a family without going down rabbit holes.
But why is a test centre completely empty in the 2nd wave?
I presume because people just aren't bothering to get tested now? So strict though, the staff have been trained well, I got told off 3 times for contravening the rules accidentally.
This was for my daughter btw, she can't go into school with symptoms unless had a test. 99% sure she just has a cold but had to do it.- oh and I had to do all the testing... which was fine but not what I'd seen on news etc.fadein11
- negative result just, wow, that was superquickfadein11
- Glad you're alright. I reckon the massaging on going to a test centre was messed up early on and people have become apathetic to it all.PhanLo
- yep that was my thoughtsfadein11
- everyone's obsessed with lockdowns and xmas and forgotten to test and, crucially, isolate. Messaging on that has been hopeless.Fax_Benson
- it's either low rates or lockdowns, which is why both keep happening. daft.
Good news on the test though, fade.Fax_Benson - Maybe it’s because testing is available lots more places now? The CityMD across from my girlfriends place always has a line now they do rapid testing.hardhat
