Are you friendly with your local pizza place or taco shop?
There's a burrito spot near me. I go every week or so. They know me, I always order the same thing.
But I never quite know what to talk to them about. I walk in, they say hello, I ask for "the usual" and leave.
I don't know their names or anything.
I go enough that it feels kinda awkward.
Do you chat more with your pizza guy?
- Ask them who they voted for, if it’s awkward enough alreadyzaq
- I chat with my bodega guy. It all started when one time I walked in and he asked me to watch the store because he really had to take a piss.********
- Had a bistro where I was a regular, ended up convincing the owners to let me work there for a month in the summer just for the experience of it - it was great!********
