I'm moving on to my 5th and final interview with a large agency today. My clients would be incredible. It would be the next step in my career I need to break through to a new level that's been just out of reach. I'm crossing my fingers and toes for an offer this week.

This time around while looking for a staff gig, I've been through up to 3 interviews at two other agencies and not landed the job. They've either went with someone else or they're taking their time and will fill the position next year (after the holidays). And, there's a lot of amazing talent that's out of work and flooding the market right now.

In the meantime, the checks just aren't coming fast enough with the freelance grind. With Christmas just around the corner, I'm really hoping to be able to buy some comfort and peace of mind because from the looks of it, that's as good as this shit year is going to get.

Is anyone else stressed tf out about next Tuesday and the complete fuckery I'm bracing for?

    • Good fortune. Don't stress out about things beyond your control.DRIFTMONKEY

    • continuity, when will you hear back about their decision?shellie
    • No idea yet, but the process has been steady and timely, so I hope relatively quickly.Continuity
    • If you are worried about the economy why would you vote for fascists and communists? That makes no sense.Hayoth
    • @comtinuity I hope we made it farther down the gauntlet than anyone else. If they were doing this many interviews with several candidates ... time is money.shellie
    • Yeah, I was thinking much the same. Surely in both your case and mine, other candidates have been voted off the island by now.Continuity
    • Best of luck to you both. My experience with large agencies is the bigger they are, the slower the ball moves. And fingers crossed for Nov 3rd. I've got PTSD.brandonp
    • Good luck...but wtf could a company hope to learn in a 5th interview they hadn't in the first 4!BusterBoy
    • @buster I met with different people from the recruiter that found me through another, a creative director, executive producer/ direct bossshellie
    • head of production Austin, head of staffing content production in North America. All separate so they can get their own perspective.shellie

    • Best of luck Shellie, you got this, you'll see!grafician
    • Nice, Shellie! Did you get the impression there’s a real commitment to diversity and to respect, and that it’s not just window-dressing? If it’s the real dealContinuity
    • ... then they’re a rare gem in the agency world.Continuity
