    • I was wondering why they don't do this years ago.Hayzilla
    • The tech wasn't there yet. there's a much better video about this from Disney/ILM - it's in the Mandalorian threadfadein11

    • if so much perfection is done while filming in real time, I wonder how much it cuts out of all post work?Ramanisky2
    • @Ramanisky2 We truly live in a post post world, eh?!

    • It would be interesting to see if they could pull off a live performance with this.ayport
    • is this affecting production? I mean cutting costs that would go to set designers etc. instead?

    • 'Problem' with this tech beyond its current application - ie. live or theatrical, etc, is that perspective often only works from the expected camera angle.Nairn
    • ^pretty sure they will match camera pov with backgrounds soon enough to make it almost 360

    • How do you do that for an audience tho?Nairn
    • They alrady match Camera PoV - that's the point. What the actors on set see isn't the right angle, nor would it be for observers outside the frame of reference.Nairn
    • Not critting it - it's shitting cool, and obviously much better to act against than a plain green background. Just saying that it's limited beyond one angleNairn
