I have to say, having done the Apple phone subscription thing for the last 3 versions of the phone, it's a no-brainer to upgrade every year despite a lack of radical overhaul to the device.
How many of you do the same plan?
- No-brainer? Hmmm I just keep my phone for a long time and save money. They all work basically the same unless it's your primary camera.nb
- I absolutely hate getting a new phone, I avoid it as much as possible.nb
- Same here NB: what pain in the ass. Data transfer errors, apps not compatible, glitches, up-selling, new cords, different plans, etc...a waste of fucking time..utopian
- I know, right? Then when you do get it all set up, surprise surprise it does exactly the same things as the old one. New phones are just a boring waste of time.nb
- mg33, are you upgrading every year for "free" or are you paying for each device?monospaced
- For me, it takes 2.5 years to pay off a phone, so I can't really upgrade each year unless I trade in and pay each month still. Is that what you do?monospaced
- mono - you never actually pay off the loan, not in a year at least. So, they buy back the loan or close it out when the phone is sent back,mg33
- and the new phone starts up a new loan.mg33
- utopian - I've never run into a problem. Just backup to computer, and transfer to new one.mg33
- The ONLY part that sucks is having to reset Google Authenticator app for accessing my NAS with two-factor. It takes 10 minutes, but it's just annoying.mg33

- Are you going to lease a car until you die? Extremely wasteful and expensive choice to subscribe to a piece of hardware.imbecile
