    • NSK poster ftw!renderedred
    • oh that's a lovely setsted
    • are those rubber cubes what u r using as legs for speaker? idk how that horn is mounted but it looks like that it gets lots of resonance from down bellow.sted
    • @sted wooden cubes. No resonance, pretty transparent setup.fisheye
    • @i_was this is naim dvd5 moded as cd drive. Specs are in the comments of the video.fisheye
    • this is great. wow. really brings me into the musicjaylarson
    • Whole room is bonus.PhanLo
    • Yeah this is a great low budget set of kit.ben_
    • @ben You are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, aren’t you?fisheye
    • i hope this guy doesn't live in an apartment block with a sound installation like that...milfhunter
    • Fisheye, enable “detect sarcasm”. It’s a beautiful setup, and a great choice of music to showcase it.ben_
    • @milfhunter lol it isn't about the volume. the sound what leaves that room will be surprisingly nominal if you do things in the right way.sted
    • like the only thing i would replace are the wooden legs what transfer sound to the floor and f up a bit the lower frequencies.sted
    • and possibly the relationship with the one down bellow :)sted
    • The volume is usually 60 - 70 db in the listening position. And yes, I live in apartment block. The system is very transparent. I measured the outcome and ...fisheye
    • ... it is pretty close to the source. So if the recording is good, it sounds good an if it’s bad I don’t listen to it. ;) There is a thing when you dig into ...fisheye
    • ... let’s say audiophile world, the music you listened to before is eventually being ignored just because of the recording quality. That sucks.fisheye
    • curious if you find that statement depends on the context of the recording... punk music or early 90's rap for instance... is clarity the only measure for you?ben_
    • @ben_ I don’t know about clarity, I was talking about transparency (neutralness of the system). I enjoy sound stages, holography, depth of the sound stage, ...fisheye
    • .. the illusion of walking between musicians in my living room. But as I mentioned, it all depends on recording - mix and mastering.fisheye
    • ... regarding the music you mentioned, I gravitate towards recorded music with mics, not generated music via softwares but a lot of sludge, stoner, doom ...fisheye
    • ... you can see on my Instagram @dejanmiletic my previous gearfisheye
    • Cool, yeah it was an honest question... you mentioned how recording quality leads to not listening to certain music anymore.ben_
    • But for me, anyhow some of the magic of music that gets opened up with a good system is the background you don't get to hear otherwise!ben_
    • I don’t know about opening up, but any interference or coloration of the source is usualy unexceptae by audiophiles..fisheye
