    He is the son of rancher Cliven Bundy, who was the central figure in the 2014 Bundy standoff regarding unpaid grazing fees on federally-owned public land. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM, I know, I know) attempted to confiscate Cliven's cattle for grazing on public land for years without a permit.
