Beaches are opened today in MX finally, I haven't been in the water in 3 months (its one of the main reasons I'm here) it was pumpin at around 8', couldn't surf since the outside was closed out but took a much needed swim this morning regardless of the crazy riptide. by 8:am people started piling onto the beach so I split, I hope no one drowns, on average I save at least 1 person a year being pulled out in rips. shits gonna close again for sure.
I understand the reason for closing the beaches for large gatherings of people drinking, but closing it for solo sports and exercise like surfers, dog walkers and runners sucks many dicks.
They allow us to buy alcohol and eat shit food, but sunshine and exercise is forbidden. lazy fat bastard lawmakers.
