I've been reading/looking at the work of the French comics creator, Chabouté recenty. I think he might be my favourite artist working in black and white. I love what he does without tone or texture. But he's got some really nice art books too where he does bring in tone and texture. I've included a video review of a couple of his books because you get a real sense of his skill when you see a longer sequence of his image. If you like what you see and think you'd like to seek out his books, I'd advise you watch that with the sound off as it's a bit spoilery:

    • His Instagram profile: https://instagram.co…Wolfboy
    • i have one book from him, "the witches", big fan tooloool
    • Cheers Wolfboy! Love the ink drawings with the washes in https://www.instagra…PhanLo
    • The bench series feels like "The Bus" by Paul Kirchner. If you haven't read those, they are a must.garbage
    • Cheers for that gargbage, I didn't know The Bus. I think I'll grab a copy of the collection.Wolfboy
