You know how the CIA is really tight with all the social media companies.
and how during the Arab Spring there was all this popular uprising coordinated via social media...
and how all those countries were shutting off their internet...
You know how other countries have their own version of the CIA...
and how there are foreign/domestic bot networks used to try to sway elections, advance agendas, and cause general polarization across regional/ethnic/political/religi... lines.
and how everyone has their own little filter-bubble where there are different 'facts' for different people depending where you get your news, what gets shared, what "influencers" you follow etc...
Given the above, how much of this is an organic popular revolt around a terrible police incident, and how much of this is the result of coordinated 3rd-parties fanning the flames and triggering people who are being wound up via social-media? (and agents provocateurs within the riots)
We all know how much our emotional mood effects our perception/reaction to situations. With a constant level of stress across a large enough group of people, you can probably get a pretty predictable outcome when you turn the heat up.
I don't know if any of that is actually happening, or if it is, who might be behind it (foreign? domestic? terrorists? governments?). But it is all a bit suspicious, and we ought to be wary we aren't amplifying for someone else's agenda.
The drumbeat is always about "your government is illegitimate, your institutions are corrupt, you can't trust authority, the police won't protect you, other races hate you, you are alone".
I don't see how any of that benefits America, but getting citizens to burn their own country to the ground without firing a shot seems like the ultimate tactic in warfare.
- Somebody is clearly organizing the riots, capitalizing on the protests and do nothing but damage and undermine the very important actual cause.MondoMorphic
- ...not sure if it's other countries or power brokers within the US, but it is happening.MondoMorphic
- Of course, the internet is a huge player on many levels now. There's a silent war happening on the internet. People are playing with our minds over there.Bennn
- tactic as old as time itself. The average person is too dumb to realize it. Then again, so is the President._niko
- Perfect storm scenario...********
- There are probably manipulators and foreign actors egging on the two sides, but I don't think you can fabricate an entire uprising out of nothing.yuekit
- Keep in mind, everyone always accuses the other side of being astroturfed. Right wing said Occupy Wall Street was fake, liberals said the Tea Party was fake.yuekit
- China says Hong Kong protests are fake and orchestrated by the USA, Russia said the same thing about Ukraine. And in all of these cases, there is some evidenceyuekit
- you can point to, but it's easy to exaggerate the impact. Racial protests for example have been happening for long time in the US, long before the internet.yuekit

- and yuekit race has nothing to do with it. this shit wasnt even racially motivated in anyway. an accidental death with a drugged up low offender********
