To the CNN reporter being arrested:
We just witnessed an attempt at to silence the Fourth Estate.
This is just days after some B-list geriatric moron that is somehow our president floated the idea of canceling social media on account of him getting his feelings hurt for finally being called out on his umpteenth lie.
It doesn't matter if the journalists were released and apologies were made. We should not be anywhere near this brink of absolute authority in the fucking USA. Fucking OMNISHAMBLES.
I'm tired of having to have to care, which is the GOP's endgame. My only standing goal is making sure my dog has a good twilight (he's 14), and bury him in his favorite forest spot. Finish some books, cook some good meals, and then whenever the little homie checks out, I'm done.
- Eh, I hope you're not being entirely serious - your grunt flesh will be needed in the upcoming class/racial war - you still have purpose! xNairn
- +1 for you and your dog man.Bennn
- Lol. I'd like to think my flesh is a higher grade than grunt, but maybe you have a point. My only problem is trying to convince my gf to let go.garbage
- She wants to get married and I'm not wanting to stick around. I think she will probably see this, so "Hey beb, thanks for doing the laundry last night."garbage
- Don't let it get to you...there's more to the world than toxic US politics.yuekit
- @bennn he's the best. I've resisted making a thread about him. Constant companion, that guy.garbage
- @yuekit To be clear, it's more of a "eh" reaction than being overwhelmed. I've believed in the right to die since I was in my early teens.garbage
- Hmmm...I guess I would agree that people should have the "right" but having known a couple people who took that step, I always think it's a mistake.yuekit
- Maybe you just need to get out of Seattle. It can be a slightly depressing place (I lived there for way too long myself).yuekit
- Was even one of the many homeless there for a bit...but everything completely changed now.yuekit
- Was not expecting that from you, tbh. Glad that you're happy, but city isn't bringing me down. I've just always believed in the right to die as long as it..garbage
- ..isn't done in desperation. Over the years I've had four people close to me that killed themselves. I still consider two of them to be cowards.garbage
- Wow that's crazy. I guess the thing I would come back to is that our mental states are all changeable. You may think you believe something today but a year fromyuekit
- now after a different set of experiences it may seem completely wrong or ridiculous. So in that light how can anyone ever make such an irreversible decision?yuekit
- I wish I could have a drink with y'all.Nairn
- Hey, I've already gotten started to get through the next hour of tedious zoom meetings :)yuekit
