Doesn’t ‘flattening the curve’ mean hospitals won’t be overwhelmed? I’m a tad lost as to how it’s be considered a measure for allowing public outings. What am I missing?

    • Yes. It has mostly to do with hospitals handling the fatal cases.monospaced
    • if a hospital can handle, say 100 patients coming into the ER a day, and you send in 10,000 (because 10k people got infected by not social distancing) ...Krassy
    • ... then you'll have 9,900 people dying in front of the hospital. Does that make sense?Krassy
    • ^ That’s what I was think would happen. It’s strange how this is playing out. Not that I have pandemic experience, but it seems people wouldn’t want to get sickayport
