Left my flat (apartment) earlier - we're ground floor in a three storey, three flat block - and bumped into one of our neighbours (who has already annoyed me in the past), who was exiting.

She was using small pieces of tissue to open the door lock to exit.

I kind of wanted to punch her.

    Fucking wet millennials.

    .

I'm taking two bottles of ispopropanol alcohol back to leave on the landing, for my neighbours, and think I'll take more in a spray bottle to leave in the hallway for people to use on knobs and handles and such.

    Fucking wet millennials.

    • Why not use tissue to open doors? There was a study a couple years back, more than 50% of people at kings cross station had shit on their hands.shapesalad
    • traces of shit, after their hands were pressed into petri dishes.shapesalad
    • If you're so mighty and strong, dare you to lick a supermarket trolley handle...shapesalad
    • that's life, shape. life is shit - if not actually, then covered in a thin film of the stuff.Nairn
    • And as for why not? Tissue's borderline useless for the task she'd set it - wear fucking gloves or sanitise The Thing in Your Own BuildingNairn
    • I dunno - it just seemed like a useless, slightly pathetic, effortNairn
    • Nairn the glove is useless, it doesn't protect you. The tissue is the best option, you could touch your face with your gloves but not so with the tissue.zarkonite
    • and yeah, douse everything in sanitizer, that's my favourite option.zarkonite
    • When I freelanced at rank offices, i used a tissue to pull open toilet door on exiting. some studios are yuk...shapesalad
    • Don't waste isopropyl on a door handle. Get a squirt bottle and stick 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Super cheap and kills everything.monNom
    • Save the isopropyl for hand sanitizer. Mix with aloe gel or glycerol. Or make a moist towlette with some paper towel in a Ziploc.monNom
    • I have 40 litres of the stuff, and iso doesn't ruin clothes like bleach! :)Nairn
