Make it an "office"!
"The Office of [YOU] for Design & Development" sounds rather interesting, formal but not too formal, established and trustworthy, expert and dependable.
If you go with "studio" make it "The Studio of [YOU]" to imply that it's your personal studio and not a proper "studio studio" with crew.
Also if you want to expand in the coming years, a good definition will also be "[YOUR NAME] & Co." if you want to imply you're the main man but you also collaborate with other people as a network.
