  If you are a motion designer you probably like to animate things, this is kinda hard with Html.
  Flash brings alot more life to a portfolio, it can still be simplistic and focus on the content, just a matter of how you design it.

  Portfolio should not just be a table of contents, it should reflect your talent, and if thats motion, then go for flash.
