Tomorrow there will be a new release for C4D, R21...
and honestly, I dont think there is a lot of improvements, since the version R18, which is the one I currently use...

Maxon is also going subscription based, and they offered me a "discount" price on the subscription if I converted my perpetual license into a subscription.... which I felt like I was kicked on the nuts.

"Hey, we will take this car that you bought from us, and we will charge now a rent, but dont worry, it will be a smaller rate, because now you wont own anything anymore :)"

I am thinking of switching to Blender... is any of you in similar situation?

    • R20 was a huge update last year. The volume feature is a great option. R21's big feature are Fields for dynamics.CyBrainX
    • Yeah, but none of these are really useful for character animators :(
      Which version you have CyBrainX?

    • I use R20 at home and R19 at work. R20 was probably the biggest upgrade they ever had. I don't do much rigging work. I like modeling characters thoughCyBrainX
