Thursday I got an idea for a TVC. It was pretty much fully germinated the moment it popped into my head. At the time, I was convinced it was the best idea I'd ever had.
From the time I had the idea, to when I wrote the script, proofed it for spelling and grammar, and threw together a mood board, 45 minutes had passed.
I sent it immediately to Client Services Director in the agency where I work. He says he loved it, and would try to sell it to the client as-is next week.
I just re-read the idea/script. And I cringe in embarrassment. 'WTF was I thinking?! This is horrible! They must think I'm a no-talent cunt!' is the first thing that always pops into my head. And I'm supposed to be the CD in this agency.
I wish — for once in my life — I could actually truly love stuff I do, and not think it's utter shit 24 hours later, after I look at it again.

- Nah if questioned flip the script. Lift one eyebrow & tell them you left out one key element to the story—that everything will be done as sock puppets.robotron3k
- The trick is to have a super serious look on your face.robotron3k

- Just wait until you realize that fully germinated idea was so clear because you saw it a week ago in some other commercial and subconsciously regurgitated it.monNom
