I'm 42 and have spent the past 42 years mucking about living my life around others - often needing acceptance and validation for all the things I do. I've had no real assertive plan, i've been fucked over by people probably because of that and I've also fucked other people off (especially in relationships) because of my lack of commitment and self belief. I'd say I've chosen to be lazy, but actually dealing with deep bouts of depression and having a difficult childhood has never really made it as simple as I see things right now. I've been on here for years and it's been a great source of inspiration and motivation but for the first time in such a long time I finally see just how ridiculous I've been and how much time I've been wasting. We can all have opinions, but can we all be supportive? We can all sit here and be critical, but can we ever see beyond our often narrow minded views and accept criticism of ourselves.

So here's my first post as someone who's been around the bend a little and managed to come out the other side. Let's all try to be a good encouragement in some way and support the often superficial, ego-led creative abilities of each and every one of us. LONG LIVE QBN or whatever!!
