    So this other, kinda related thing I was thinking of what how misogynistic the culture of punk rock that I grew up in actually was.

    I see so many women in awesome new bands now. It's great, but where were they in the 90s? Probably not making music because it was a tough scene for them.

    Is it a sign I'm getting old, or a sign that times have changed. I'm guessing both.

    • I'm with you renderedred. I was too young/naive to know most of those bands back then. I do now. But it's weird how there weren't many women in 90s punk.nocomply
    • Of course there's exceptions, like Sleater-Kinney and others. But a lot of the lyrics from old songs in that era make me cringe.nocomply
