Nice place! I think it looks pretty good as-is. It's hard to tell from the photos but maybe you can do something with the window framing to give it a little more personality?
Maybe a more bold color choice for your front door and then a few subtle embellishments to match?
You've also got a lot of untapped potential with your landscaping, but I'm guessing that in Chicago you can't really count on that for year-round aesthetics.
