Does anyone know how to import a vector object (aka - logos) into Photoshop that will scale appropriately at 100% both width & height? Every time that I import a vector logo into a Photoshop document the W/H aspect ratio by default is always wrong.

    • yeah, click the "link" icon between the percentages and type 100% into one of them. Should update accordingly.monospaced
    • Copy/Paste as Smart Object? I can't recall suffering your problem, so perhaps it's some glitch with your install?Nairn
    • Just to get the obvious out of the way - you're not on a new version and defaulting to the old habit of hitting shift whilst scaling to maintain ratio?Nairn
    • is it actually importing at the wrong ratio? That is a very weird thing to happen - there must be something f'd with the logo file. Have you opened it in illy?Gnash
    • if not, perhaps you've placed into a layer or object that was skewed alreadyGnash
    • happens to me as well. I don't get it. I just hit the link and change to 100%lvl_13
    • what fucking low-life troll moron downvoted this, you fucking helmet!utopian
    • This had been happening on every version of Adobe PS and IL for years. I simple import the vector object and I get the wrong aspect ratio without even touchingutopian
    • the vector, moving it, etc...annoying as fuck.utopian
    • Maybe it’s snapping to a pixel and can’t actually get a perfect ratio?monospaced
    • This is like when Illustrator will add 1-2 pixels to any file dimensions, ex: exporting 1080x1080px for instagram will give you 1082x1080px just to fuck with ugrafician
    • Drives me fucking MAD!davey_g
    • @grafician, to fix the issue of illustrator adding pixels, make sure your artboards lie exactly on a pixel, and not a half pixel. Then it works on export!monospaced
    • @mono: I manually input the sizes when creating a document, the sizes are ok when working - then 1-2 pixels more on export - randomly! :))grafician
    • like i said ... if you want to avoid the extra 1-2 pixels, ensure your artboard is aligned on the ruler to an exact pixel and isn't at a fraction of one.monospaced
