A couple of interesting stories. First Democratic leadership including Pelosi and Schumer are apparently holding meetings about how to stop Bernie Sanders from becoming the nominee. "Mayor Pete" interestingly enough is part of these meetings. Has this been done for any other candidate?

At the same time polls show Sanders is strongly competitive against Trump in the Midwest...ahead by 10+ points in states Trump won last time. He's certainly doing a lot better than Hillary Clinton, and polling better in key states than the other 2020 candidates.

So do Democrats want to kill Sanders' candidacy because they are afraid he'll lose to Trump, or because they're afraid he'll win?
