    • you've got to strengthen your upper back muscles, to pull the shoulder blades in and together - meanwhile stretching the ligaments in your upper chestshapesalad
    • a should strap isn't going to do it - daily exercises, rebuilding your upper body - ligaments that are not contracted, muscles that hold your frame will do it.shapesalad

    • Best for posture I've found is back extensions (for the erector spinae).Continuity
    • Ok to develop muscle memory but bad to rely on long term. Your muscles will get lazy and in the end you'll exacerbate the problem you're trying to solve.Gucci
    • Sitting/standing differently than you're used to sucks for a while. Your body will revolt. This is a good reminder of how hard it is to do.Gucci
    • So as your body is revolting and you're wearing this for hours a day, the active muscles become more lax, thus creating more issues.Gucci
    • I have a very good friend, a supposed Indian Prince, who wore one of these when he was younger. It worked, but he resented his father for making him wear it..Nairn
    • Also, pango — *slap!Nairn
    • I got one and enjoyed the posture correction for 2 weeks and then i got one of the worst back issues of my life.BrokenHD
    • Reached down to put a dish away and was frozen in pain. Lots of therapy and learning later.. this is not the way to go.BrokenHD
    • Take the time to learn correct sitting & standing postures, techniques and daily stretches to adjust your posture correctly over time. My 2¢BrokenHD
    • And I'm not saying this caused it all, it was years of incorrect stuff, this just exacerbated; time bombBrokenHD
