I just threw out 2 white fourteen year olds from my building.
First they were in the vestibule hanging out, smelled like cigarettes. They said they were waiting for a cab and that it was so cold out side... only 32 degrees here in NY.
Waited for a moment, and thought I still heard them and it sounded like they were closer,... let me throw out my trash and check out the scene.
Got closer they were talking in side my building now. There was a smashed cigarette at the bottom of the stair case for a week now... no one in my building smokes, was wondering where it came from.
Before they saw me, I said in a loud voice,
"Guys, if you have no friends and family in this building, you've got to go..."
They said "you know how it is, we were just rolling one", again... I said "See that sign, it says no smoking, if you don't have any family and friends in this building you have to leave"... one who seemed to have more common sense told his brother to gather up their things -- they had their shit on my neighbors package from UPS... he gathered up the things and was taking his time... still TALKING BACK TO ME... WHAT!
Stalling to open the door, back talking all the while,
"Open the door" in the most stern voice possible, even surprised myself - they seemed terrified but held it together. He moved with the quickness and got far enough and I heard the N word... pretty sure, but didn't want to fly into rage...
I asked, did you say the N word just now? His brother says "nah, he didn't" mind you these are kids who probably call each other the N word, and it's likely it was said but he really did not know who he was fucking with.
"We mean no harm man, we're sorry"
...fuck. I almost kicked these guys out with the fat of their necks.
I'm getting old.
