I really liked this hat from H&M. There was something about it i did't like, but was'nt sure exactly what.

Was about to buy it, when it hit me, what bothered me. That logo looks fucking neo nazi...

    • Didn't buy it, if you're wondering :)jagara
    • Just emailed H&M a few thoughts...jagara
    • yeah, but it doesn't thoughmonospaced
    • "Visions of swastikas in my head
      Plans for everyone
It's in the whites of my eyes
      My little China girl"
      GM278
    • Disagree. Not very Nazi rune esqueGM278
    • Still... it's the overall aestetic. White on black, the circle, the kinda-sorta SS / swastika form language...jagara
    • In a lot of countries, the swastika is outlawed, so they make up new shit...jagara

    • Well... maybe it's just me :)
Don't want to send any signals that could be misinterpreted...

    • are you really accusing them of white supremacist branding because it has angles and a white circle?monospaced
    • No. Just that they accidentally made something that looks that way.jagara
    • no differencemonospaced
    • My god! it's H&M. Last time i checked, they would like to make money. This is unintentional, of course.jagara
    • Also, i seem to be alone in seeing it ;)jagara
    • By that logic half the people that use geometric logos are referencing the Nazis.GM278
    • https://1000logos.ne… I knew Chester was up to something sinister! (RIP Chester)GM278
    • Yeah, ok. Point taken :)jagara
    • @monospaced there's no difference between accidental and intentional? Wow, that sounds like the new American way of thinking.jagara
    • no, there's no difference between what I said and what you said, ffsmonospaced
    • you accused them of selling nazi branding (you did), which is the same as "they accidentally made something that looks that way"monospaced
    • I'm not ACCUSING them of anything, ffs. I'm making the (subjective) OBSERVATION "this looks neo nazi to me". That is all.jagara
    • I don't know if that difference is too subtle for you.jagara
    • Goddammit. Everything is interpreted like Twitter outrage these days.jagara
    • so when you emailed them and shared your thoughts, you didn't imply that they had branding on hat that you think looks like white supremacist?monospaced
    • Because if you did, you're making an accusation. I don't know if that is too subtle for you to understand. Emailing them is twitter rage, btw. :)monospaced
    • No. There’s a certain aggression in an accusation. I told them very nicely, that their design might be misinterpreted.jagara
    • “Your TV is too loud for me”, could you turn it down?” = observation / kind request.jagara
    • “Your TV is too loud, and you turned it up to harass me!!” = accusation.jagara
    • Whatever. Let’s agree to disagree. Bye now.jagara
    • That's the Logo from the DFB!
      ********
    • Like the radio birdman logo...robotron3k
    • It's a combination of the Odin rune and the alchemy symbol for the earth element.i_monk
    • @i_monk did not know those - nice! Kudos for your knowledge of symbols :)jagara
    • Or Stop shopping at HM!pango
    • Yeah, I'd just stop shopping at H&M, cause it's... you know... garbage.ben_
    • Lol you emailed them and told them this looks like Nazi branding. That’s an accusation. An observation wouldn’t even involve an email.monospaced
    • @monospaced ok. They might see it as an accusation too. But that's not what i intended, and i don't plan on doing anything else...jagara
    • ... like a #boycottevilhandm smear campaign. I see your point. Can we break it up? :)jagara
    • Looks like, but you know it isn’t. So what you are doing is trying to police aesthetic with being potentially offended. Grow up.cannonball1978
    • I admit the email was unnecessary.jagara
