I went through so many of these damn pens...fun when they worked, not so much when they didn't. Nothing can really replace ink-on-mylar, collaging photocopies, spray mounting.

(not mine, thesis advisor's early work)

(not mine either, early work from a professor)

Good times. Still have tubes of drawings, somewhere.

    • I had this set as kid.utopian
    • I got a nice Rotring set from my parents in my 18th anniversary. It was the most expensive thing my parents ever bought to me.oey
    • I used the Rotring brand ones, 0,2, 0,5 and 0,8 sizes. But first, I've used those during delineation classes: https://bit.ly/2OCD1…OBBTKN

    • Ruling pens were an even bigger nightmare.boobs

    • The were outrageously expensive. We'd cringe when a prof would require ink-on-mylar, but they did look great. Oh, almost forgot..electric erasers!formed
    • I couldn't afford that until I found a used one. Massive difference, it's like having a fast PC for rendering.formed
    • yup! had that exact same kitBennn
    • If I'd bother to set up an acct somewhere to post photos here, I'd post my ink drawing I did of the Space Shuttle back in 86. Loved those pens.lemmy_k
    • super drawings !neverscared
    • still have the copics I bought in university. they still work after 20 years...SimonFFM
