I'm like 8 hours into Read Dead 2. I loved the simplicity of RDR1. It was just GTA in the old west. This game is so different though. It's like a straight up hardcore realistic simulator. There is just too much bullshit going on. Everything needs to be micromanaged. Its pretty irritating and not that fun.

The world and the visuals are all top notch, but the rest of it really isn't that great imo. I'm going to keep playing it, but I just wish I didn't have to bother with all this crap of having to provide for the gang, having to feed Arthur. It reminds me of all the worst parts of GTA San Andreas, on steroids.

I have now killed 3 of my horses by running into trees. Yep. That's a thing in this game. So, so dumb.

    • I haven't gotten far, but my first thought is that its a very slow game, and definitely not one where you can play in short bursts.Nutter

    • I'm on the other side. Loving the life simulation, and consequences. I play Red Dead to be immersed, so its all working for me.DRIFTMONKEY
    • Im with drift. I feel more of a connection to the horse int eh game as a character, rather than a vehicle.cannonball1978
