So, tether is imploding. Bitcoin is $6900 and $6300 simultaneously on Bittrex, one in USDT and the other one in (true) USD.
There are a number of crazy theories, and its all very entertaining:
- Tether is under investigation again and will be delisted for real in the near future.
- Whales are taking advantage to escalate existing FUD to load up on cheap tether.
- Whales are dumping TUSD as a cheaper way to pump BTC/USDT pair. The goal is as always to liquidate BTC shorts, which are all placed in USDT, after all (real BTC value stays the same).
- A possible route for the next BTC bullrun: there is a rush from tether to BTC as the new stable coin. Everything else is set on fire. Most alts will fail. There is no influx of new money, so the crypto world starts eating itself.Discuss
