I picked up another hobby and now I can’t stop. I’m on a rampage to find vintage cameras to clean and restore. Ebay, Craigslist, Goodwill auctions, thrift stores, Facebook groups and Marketplace.

I won’t mention how much I’ve spent, but I want to turn half of my office into a repair shop now. And my wife is like wtf are you doing with all these. Lol!

But when I finish one it feels so good!!

    Here is my latest:

    -Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP
-Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar f/1.8 50mm "Zebra"

Some people flip them, I'm keeping and shooting with them!

    • Somehow I knew it was your post.pango

    • (very cool btw)Bennn
    • Be warned, this is a very dangerous path.garbage
    • It starts with old polaroids and SLRs from the 80s. Before you know it you're replacing electrical switches on cameras you've had shipped from Japan.garbage
    • Get a good set of Helping Hands if you don't have one already, really helps with the tiny things.garbage
    • Where is that huge camera district in Asia? Hong Kong or Tokyo I think? I’ll stop when I finally get a Leica or a Hasse I promise. :)HijoDMaite
    • Japan Hongkong and Taiwan all have camera district.pango
    • I do have a Voigtlander from the 1950s in mint conditionmekk
    • oh and a Pentax k1000 :-) If I ever go to the US west coast I'll bring them to youmekk
    • Mekk. Do it! We’ll make a good trade for pics of the Voigt?HijoDMaite
    • It looks like a Bessamatic or Vito B. Not sure yet. The special thing about it was that it was one of the first (or even the first) to have auto exposure iircmekk
    • Tokyo is pretty huge.

    • Note: I haven't dealt with Bellamy in years. He's dedicated, but definitely a little shady. Sent me a Hexar AF that he guaranteed was mint, but..garbage
    • ..the shutter release was busted and I had to fix it myself. He is good for sourcing, but take everything he says with a grain of salt.garbage
    • @mekk The K1000 was the first camera I ever used, there's something special about that thing.garbage
    • I'm very familiar with JCH. he usually hunts for expensive shit that i cant afford.HijoDMaite
    • Ha true. He's also a bit of a wanker. If you have any refurb questions just hit me up.garbage
