I spent the last day or so explaining to my father what click-bait is. He asked me not to get upset when he posts stupid shit on Facebook because he doesn't understand how something can be published on the internet when it's a total lie. He feels as though he entered a time machine from 1985 to this day, he doesn't quite understand the technology in his hand yet.
I feel bad now, but I think he gets it. We started to dive in to how bot programs work but I reeled it back a bit. He has a lot to learn still. The hardest part was having to speak about this whole subject in Spanish.
I imagine this is how all of our older relatives feel. At least the ones that weren't using computers until Social Media apps came around.
