I think you're right microkorg, I've given Maschine's interface so much time and effort but nothing sketches together as quick as Ableton for me.
That said... I bought a Maschine Jam sans license, (I already have 2 licenses) for an incredible deal. I'll probably invest in Ableton 10 before summer, then just wait for a Push 2 unless I find a great deal on one or a bundle in the meantime.
I think I'm going to trade my Mikro w/ license and Maschine w/ stand (plus whatever) away for the Studio just to update that gear and reduce clutter.
Redeeming features of the Jam I'll be using out of the box are the step sequencer and pattern selection buttons. I had learned to do both in Ableton with the APC and found creation to flow smoothly from there.
In the end, cost and availability influenced the Jam decision leaving me leaning toward the Studio upgrade.
