Media temple email servers are seperate from the grid so they aren't very good if you are working with auto generated emails. (ie. if you are trying to send email via PHP).
For instance there is A WP plugin for restaurant reservations that isn't compatible on Media Temple and works fine on Hostgator.
I also used a PHP library that uses auto generated email scripts and it's super SLOW on media temple. If you call them they will confirm this!- I wish I could switch but I have 10 years of work on MT. Dont have the time to switch over 20 websites.hotroddy

- There's a bunch not compatible with MT's grid email. Can't even get Outlook's calendar to work.formed
- Switching shouldn't be too bad. If you're using something like backupbuddy it's pretty easy.noneck
- Also, set up an account with a service like Mailgun to handle your WP emails. Works way better, and gives you nice stats on deliverability.noneck
